Anita's Other Space

We spent another lovely evening at the barn yesterday. The air was soft, and the sun warm. As Aubree and Sara worked their horses in the ring, Phoenix and I stood and watched, just hanging out and appreciating the day.

Later, I was asked to pop up to the house, where Kurt's grandmother gave me this lovely basket in thanks for copies of my books I'd given her. It was unexpected and so appreciated. Wow!



As Churchill said, there's something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man. Horse people can be pretty terrific too :-) No matter what pot of anxiety is boiling in my belly on the way to the barn, during the drive home I'm always at peace, and happy.
